Goto Settings - Preferences - Displaying Messages and check Display HTML.

How do I create my signature?

Goto Settings - Identities. In the left corner click on the + sign to create an new identity and signature.

Goto Settings - Preferences - Special Folders to set the spam folder. After that the spam folder will become visible in the Folder screen.
