attachment filenames being cut off
« on: November 29, 2011, 01:54:54 PM »
I upgraded from a really archaic version to 0.5 last month. Recently I got reports that attachment files are being cut off. The main user of the webmail said he has been having the problem for a while, but solved it by appending an underscore to the beginning of his filenames before attaching them. I thought upgrading to 0.6 might solve the issue, but it has not. I also recently upgraded my PHP version to 5.3.8, which may be an issue as well, I am not sure.

So the problem can be recreated on my system like this:

Using Firefox 8, log into Roundcube 0.6
Click compose message button at the top
Click the + at the bottom of the attachments column, click Browse and select testdoc.txt
Click the Upload button
Attachment gets added to the list with filename "estdoc.txt"
Send email, recipient also sees "estdoc.txt" and not the correct filename.

Has anyone else run into this when upgrading, either their RC or their PHP versions?

Server is IIS 6 w/ PHP 5.3.8 running as FastCGI
