Password Changer
« on: December 29, 2011, 04:15:51 PM »
I am using RoundCube as a preferred webmailclient on a shared hosting account. On the whole RoundCube is really a great tool for this purpose, but it lacks one essential element: the possibility for a user to change his/her email password. All the solutions to add a password changer I found up till now involved changing settings on the shared server level. Does anybody know of another way of achieving the result?

Does anybody have any experience installing RoundCube on his/her own webspace, linking it with the mailserver on the shared host? The website I am running is a schoolwebsite with a mailbox for every one of our teachers (in total a little less than 300 mailboxes) and the website is hosted on an Apache-server that uses cPanel as an admintool.

Hope this gives you some idea of what I am talking about.

BTW, I have some basic knowledge of php and jscript.

Thanks in advance,

Ludo

Just use the password plugin that comes with RoundCube it has a cPanel driver.
