Exporting multiple messages
« on: December 05, 2011, 08:46:04 PM »
A client and friend of mine has a ton of mail (like 40,000 messages) stored on the roundcube system which was deprecated by the Unversity of Regina in 2010.  He needs to get this mail off the system and archived on his own computer. Can you suggest a strategy to accomplish this?

Maybe you run into memory exhaustion issue with this hugh amount of messages. But you could give it a try ... https://github.com/JohnDoh/Roundcube-Plugin-Zip-Download

Thanks for the suggestion. However, the server is an unknown version of roundcube, and we have no access to it, other than thru the web front end.  We run in a windows environment, so php is going to be uphill. I am wondering if it has a pop3 server built in, so we can just set up a pop3 client and harvest away.

RoundCube is just a webmail client not a mail server. RoundCube only supports IMAP so its must be connecting to an IMAP server, so you best bet it to try and figure out what the IMAP server address is.
