New messages showing as read

Hello

I'm having an issue where new messages show up in my inbox as read after a few minutes.
Even if I haven't read them yet.
I have "mark previewed messages as read" for "never".
But messages are still displaying as read.
Any ideas?

I'm also POP3 checking same email in gmail, maybe gmail is causing it?

have you tried searching for the answer? It looks like your suspicions are correct and gmail is doing it. May be try stopping gmail from checking it and see if it still happens.
