The stable release with the new skin is getting closer! We just published the release candidate version 0.8 which fixes some more bugs and completes the work on the new skin Larry. It's now feature complete and everybody is kindly invited to do some more tests with this release and report bugs to our tracker.

There seems to be a minor bug in the installer script.  I get a "Invalid step" error.  But if I go to http://url/installer/?_step=1, installer works fine.

I can confirm the problem, I've submitted a ticket here: http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1488490

Anyone else getting a PHP error when sending a request receipt response?

PHP Warning:  Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /roundcube/program/include/rcube_shared.inc on line 85

I cannot send or receive receipt requests... Wondering if it is just me?

The warning issue is fixed in git. However the reason of it can be another issue. It looks like empty PERMANENTFLAGS response. Enable imap_debug in Roundcube and provide the log, but only from the moment when you're trying to sent the receipt response.

Two questions:
1. Do you have enabled caching? 2. Can you reproduce this with preview and full screen mode of viewing messages?

Opsss!!   You nailed it! ;D I had cache enabled so using db cache causes this problem. I copied my config file from a test install running hmailserver back-end. Since hmailserver doesn't support $MDNSent the cache didn't cause any problems with it because Roundcube ignores MDN when back-end server doesn't support it.

// Enables messages cache. Only 'db' cache is supported.
$rcmail_config['messages_cache'] = db; false

I can confirm that it works now regardless preview panel mode... Thank you so much for hinting me in the right direction. You rock!  :)

Shouldn't this be documented somewhere? Is anyone else caching without issues?

I just installed this 0.8 rc version, and it's a great work.

I found two minor bugs. I'm not a ease with the tracking system, so I don't know if they are already submitted somewhere, or already fixed in the repo.

1- Encoding error in from field, in the read mode, and compose mode. (ok for the mailbox view).
Sender name : " Világ Ãœgyfélszolgálat " instead of " Világ Ügyfélszolgálat " for example (it's hungarian). I don't know if utf-8 or other encoding.

2- [for this one, maybe I don't know how to use it] At the end of installation, the SMTP validator didn't worked. Error message like "Not OK: Incorrect sender or recipient". If I set some random string or nothing, it is the same. But I can perfectly send mails after, in roundcube.
I must admin I don't know what is a recipient exactly in this context, and how it should like. Maybe it should be more explicit.

I tried to help, I hope it will.

Anyone else having problems where after clicking on a message, you get the indefinitely spinning "loading" wheel?  I'm not getting this problem with 0.7.2.  I'm running on a Ubuntu 10.04 VPS with mod_deflate, mod_expires and mod_headers enabled.  I can provide any log output that would be useful for trouble shooting.

Might be a Safari problem as it seems to be working fine on my Wheezy box.

I have isolated it to an issue with the Larry theme and the OS X Leopard (possibly others) version of Safari 5.0.6.  The classic theme does not have this problem.  I will upgrade my wife's Macbook Pro to Lion shortly and see if there is a similar issue with Lion's version of Safari.  The problem does not arise with the Windows version of Safari, or any version of Firefox or Chrome or IE that I have tried.

To reproduce the problem, click on a message and then quickly click on other messages until you get the perpetually spinning wheel.

Should I open a ticket on trac?
