Title: SMTP sending fails
Post by: ryanp on July 08, 2007, 11:00:49 AM
Hi,

I have been successfully using an older version of Roundcube for a few months with no problems, after I recently upgraded the latest one and rebuilt the SQL Database, no messages can be sent through roundcube.
Every other function is working fine. When clicking send, "failed to send message" immediately appears.
The error log givesL

[05-Jul-2007 22:51:22 +0100] SMTP Error: SMTP error: Authentication failure: Invalid response code received from server in /var/www/html/mail/program/steps/mail/sendmail.inc on line 340
So it appears roundcube does not know how to talk to the SMTP server. I am using the latest version of Postfix for an MTA and this is installed on the same server as roundcube.
Also sending mail through any other mail client works fine so the SMTP setup is correct.

Can anyone suggest what is wrong here?
Thanks in advance

I just installed it on a new domain and get the same error:

failed to send

*** Corrected my issue: did not check my smtp auth settings and needed to add: %p in 1 location
