i think round cube should user smarty template system :-\
it would be more simple to develop the plugin section :P is it right ?

This has been asked previously....

I see no problems with the current template system.... plus, templates don't control plugins ;)

Smarty isn't installed with every server, and it could add bloat to that of an already growing application. I think what we have is adequate, just lacking in documentation.
