Title: Adressbook-based Mailfiltering
Post by: florianemrich on May 24, 2008, 03:39:31 AM
I hope, that this is the right section for my question (and i hope, that my english is good enough, to describe my problem detailed :) ):

I saw on a german site a installation of roundcube, where the mails are filtered. The filter works in collaboration with the adressbook. Mails from people, who are not listed in the adressbook are not shown to the owner of the account. Otherwise he sees a message like "Sorry, the sender "xyz@blabla.com" is not in your adressbook. If you want to read the message, please add him to the adressbook."

In the following pdf-file you can see, what i mean (its german): PDF-File (http://www.zum-mail.de/grundschule/emailoeffnengspost.pdf)

I want to add this feature to my installation, too. Now i am thinking about, how it is done. My first idea was a sieve-script, but i think the adressbook is not part of the imap-account, so sieve-script can't access the adressbook.

Is there any plugin for roundcube? Or has anyone an idea, how this feature was added to roundcube?

PS: Another feature of this installation is, that a copy of everey incoming and outgoing mail is gonna be sended to an "control-person" (the installation is a webmail-interface for children, so this a really sensefull option). How can i add this feature?

PS: I won't add email spy, because I respect privacy - even if childs are on the server!

OK ... there is a test setup of this plugin:

Sending messages into demo account is enabled for testing ( demo [at] liebl.ath.cx )
