Title: Addressbook needs more fields!
Post by: mojoman on September 15, 2009, 12:21:08 PM
Hello,

I find that the addressbook is rather skimpy: In 0.3 we can only have lastname, firstname and email address. We will require far more like that such as address fields, cell phone fields, home phone fields, and a large NOTES field.

Any idea when these features might be implemented?

+1 for this feature.

Address book should have at least:
* First name
* Last name
* Shown name
* Primary email-address
* Secondary email-address
* Address
* Home phone
* Mobile phone
* Work phone
* Birthday
* Additional notes

I would like to have something like this too.
Fields like those in MS Outlook would be useful!!

Thanks!

IMO it's also important that it is possible to create adressable groups based on the adressbook elements

there is a patch for the SVN Trunk version of RC which adds extra fields to the address book available on the dev mailing list, you can find the thread here: RoundCube Mailing Lists (http://lists.roundcube.net/mail-archive/dev/2009-11/0000072.html)
