Title: Moving mail from Junk to Inbox
Post by: Adam on December 19, 2006, 11:57:06 AM
Hi,

I can't move any messages from my spam folder to my inbox. I am running Spam assasin and it moves all marked spam to my Junk folder, but when I get false positives it doesn't let me move them back to the inbox.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Adam

You can use 'Drag and Drop...' :)

Sorry I should have made myself more clear - it is the drag and drop that doesn't work! The words must have escaped me yesterday :)

I get error: Could not move message

Have a recent SVN and the latest stable release on different domains - it is the same for each domain and each user.

Does it work with other IMAP clients?

Yeh which is strange. I dont use webmail that often myself but I'm pretty sure that it use to be fine and could do it. I can move between other folders, just nothing out of the junk folder.

It works fine for me. I would try another client to isolate the problem.

Works fine in:

Outlook
Outlook Express
Mail.app
Squirrelmail

Not sure what else to try :)

What does it do when your you try to drag and drop from your junk folder? Does it give you and error? Have you checked your logs for any errors?

This is the error form the log

Quote
[20-Dec-2006 14:37:35 +0000] DB Error: DB Error: no such field Query: INSERT INTO messages (user_id, del, cache_key, created, idx, uid, subject, `from`, `to`, cc, date, size, headers, structure) VALUES ('4', 0, 'mail/Junk.msg', now(), '24', '385', 'SEXUALLY EXPLIClT: rode class coach cow', '', '', '', FROM_UNIXTIME(1166459640), 2434, 'O:14:\"iilbasicheader\":26:{s:2:\"id\";s:2:\"24\";s:3:\"uid\";s:3:\"385\";s:7:\"subject\";s:39:\"SEXUALLY EXPLIClT: rode class coach cow\";s:4:\"from\";s:22:\"\";s:2:\"to\";s in /var/www/html/roundcubemail/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 501

The subject matter isn't through choice ;)

Not too sure what it all means though!

Line 501 from rcube_db.inc

Quote
raise_error(array('code' => 500, 'type' => 'db', 'line' => __LINE__, 'file' => __FILE__,
            'message' => $res->getMessage() . " Query: " . substr(preg_replace('/[\r\n]+\s*/', ' ', $res->userinfo), 0, 512)), TRUE, FALSE);

Thanks for the help so far!

I should also clarify that the problem is with moving any message back into the mail folder from any other folder!

I don't get the error. What happens when you try to moves emails to your inbox?

it doesn't work ;D

All that happens is that the red dialog box comes up at top of screen saying "Could not move message".

I'll PM you the log on details and you can see!

You weren't subscribed to your mail and INBOX folders. I subscribed you to them and got it working, however I don't think your IMAP server is configured correctly, as I am able to see folders under public_html. I also can create folders through thunderbird but not delete them, however I can create and delete folders through RC. Very strange behaviour for and IMAP server.

daas

Under your installation the Inbox, Junk, etc have a dot. Under mine I can tick them and I am subscribed to them. Infact my Inbox doesn't even show up there which could be the problem :-\

I have to put mail/ in the config file to set my mail path - that's why you can see my html folders.

strangely- just to let people know - taking out the path to the imap root then putting it back again has made it work!

Much strangeness :D

EDIT:

Scrub that lol. When I put the path back in I change the name of INBOX to Inbox. Evidently it is case sensitive which I didn't realise.!

Hi All,

I have a problem when I try to move to Trash or try delete a message already deleted in Microsoft Outlook in IMAP connection. The message was correct deleted from my e-mail server. I use Microsoft Outlook in my job and access by IMAP my mailserver (ISPConfig + Postfix) and I don't see the message, only in RoundCube Webmail.

Do you have suggestions? The body of the message is blank, only the header is available.

Thanks for any answer,

Vinicius
