General Discussion / Is it possible to deep link to...
Last post by andycee - March 14, 2025, 08:25:21 AMWe're using rcm within our web app and have a lookalike sidebar, this all works ok. However if user has compose in new window set then clicks on the rcm compose icon, this works as expected, however our compose button just navigates to the compose action (i.e. /rcm/?_task=mail&_action=compose) and composes within the window.
Is there a way to pass something on the query string to make this happen or could we maybe modify one of the php pages to do this?
Alternatively we would have to query rcm db beforehand to see user prefs and then open URL in our own popup, but then we'd lose plugin events and such.
Thanks,
Andy

Last post by SKaero - March 13, 2025, 09:25:21 AMThat error sounds like you are installing Roundcube from the "Dependent" package rather then the "Complete" package. When using the dependent package you need to install the dependencies: https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Installation#install-dependencies

Last post by chewiesw - March 13, 2025, 08:47:43 AMGreat thanks , one step further.
I can now log on but I don't see any email. I can't browse to server settings either. I also can't seem to send an email from the installer.

Last post by johnstvn - March 13, 2025, 03:40:46 AMYou can restrict external access to Roundcube by configuring Nginx to allow only local LAN IPs. Edit your Nginx config file (e.g., /etc/nginx/sites-available/roundcube) and add:
location / {
allow 192.168.1.0/24; # Replace with your LAN subnet
deny all;
}
Restart Nginx (sudo systemctl restart nginx) to apply changes. For remote access, use a VPN instead of exposing Roundcube to the internet.
I hope my answer will help you.

Pending Issues / Re: RoundCube SMTP Settings
Last post by SKaero - March 13, 2025, 12:57:43 AMRoundcube is a webmail client not a mail service. Contact your hosting provider and ask them for those details.
