Title: Problem with umlauts
Post by: atto on September 25, 2006, 06:50:07 AM
Hi,
great mail client!
I've got a problem with some mails. When these mails contain Umlauts (ä,ö,ü), the mail body is only shown up to the first appearance of an umlaut. The remaining text is not shown. The mail sourcecode shows the complete mail.
The problem only appears in mails with the following in the header (e.g. mails from amazon.de)

Content-Type: text/plain;
 charset=ASCII

Thanks for your help.

Works for me here with roundcubemail-nightly-20060914.
It maybe has something todo with the localization settings in your php, system or webserver
configuration...

I checked the locale settings in my system and it shows POSIX (output of "locale" from user www-data), a phpinfo() shows LANG C.
I changed the parameter LANG to de_DE@euro in the /etc/environment but the output is still POSIX or C (yes, I rebooted the server).
Could you please check what "locale" and phpinfo() shows on your system? Thx.

I'm also experiencing the exactly same problem, no further text display after the first umlaut in an amazon mail. Phpinfo() also shows up with LANG C.

Anything new on this topic by now?

Thanks and Greets,
Nils
