Title: RC cuts some mails
Post by: pauLee on September 18, 2007, 10:13:50 AM
Hi,

I have a strange problem ... some mails I get are cut in the middle of a word and the whole text.

Today I got a from another forum a reminder mail which should look like this:

"pauLee, deine Anzeige auf MTB-News.de läuft in 2 Tagen ab.

Wenn dein Artikel noch nicht verkauft ist und du deine Anzeige verlängern willst, klicke bitte auf den Link:

http://bikemarkt.mtb-news.de/bikemarkt/editproduct.php?resell=...

Falls Dein Artikel verkauft wurde klicke bitte auf diesen Link:

http://bikemarkt.mtb-news.de/bikemarkt/editproduct.php?sold=....

Danke!"

But this mail was cut in RC and I could read only this:

"pauLee, deine Anzeige auf MTB-News.de l"

I doesn´t happen very often but it nerves. Any idea to the problem?

Could have to do with the charset stuff, but I'm not 100% sure.

What charset would you recommend?

Depends on your language. ISO-8859-1 if you're reading American English or UTF-8 for most others. But it all depends upon the language you want to read.

UTF-8 should be good...

We already use UTF-8, so this can´t be the problem.

Not sure. I don't use UTF-8 because I only get english emails, but maybe someone in the UK or Europe could shed some light.... also take a look on the Bug tracker for similar issues.
