Title: Username: MyEmail+MyDomain.com
Post by: doni49 on March 12, 2008, 10:21:48 PM
I use a cPanel shared hosting account. Email usernames (for login purposes) are the email address with a PLUS sign (+) instead of the at (@) symbol.

When users login to RC for the first time, they are added to the database--but the default identity shows the following as the email address MyEmail+MyDomain.com.

So how can I force RC to replace the plus sign in the username with the at symbol for the email address in the identity?

I have been using Cpanel for years and I have never had to use the + to log in. Use the @ and see what you get ;)

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that--it says in the cPanel docs that I my username has the plus sign. I never even thought to try it with the at symbol.
