Title: Why are my mailing list messages going to Spam?
Post by: Webranger on March 10, 2019, 05:30:03 PM
I sent my first mailing list message from Roundcube with addressees in Bcc - and they all went to Spam folders, at least in gmail they did, I have not been able to check others. I tried again with another gmail address of my own and one Bcc to a family member. That to me went to Spam, the blind copy to a hotmail address didn't arrive at all!

How do I stop this happening? A Mailing list that always goes to spam is useless!

messages going into spam folders at the recipients end is not something that is related to roundcube. roundcube is only a mail client. with mailing lists partically there are a few things to do to reduce the risk. make sure there are unsubscribe links and use mailing list software so that the recipient is in the to field not the bcc field. then you need to make sure your smtp server is setup properly with things like SPF and DKIM. There are tools online you can use to test the setup of your SMTP server and see how likely messages are to be marked as spam like https://www.mail-tester.com/
