Title: Strange signature placement?
Post by: TorontoJoe on June 23, 2009, 06:47:55 PM
I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and has been able to solve it.

I've recently started working in a live environment with my RC installation running the latest version.

One of my users came to me with a annoying tick. He is using a default signature on all the mail that he composes. When he replies to an email his curser defaults to the correct place over the previous message however his signature seems to plant itself way down at the bottom under the original senders email.

Does anyone have any idea as to how to have it default to the top in the reply section where it should be? Preferrably under the cursor?

Currently when you click "reply" this is what I get:

Any advice would be appreciated.

To have it on top is bad, because lots of Mail Clients will truncate text below "-- " when replying. This was discussed more than once in the dev mailing list. I thinks devs never will change this behavior due to the truncation problem.
Title: I suppose....

Indeed. This would make sense. Unfortunately all of my users are using their browser interface exclusively.

I can see why this is the case. I suppose in my case I'll look for a way to modify for my installation.

It's too bad that it's not an option than can be selected by the user to suit ther circumstances.

If anyone can shed some light on how I might make this modification that would be great.
