Post by: maximax on May 03, 2010, 07:17:36 AM
Hello,

Plese could you tell me how to make all my mails coming to roundcube also coming to my hotmail account? I think I need to know the mail server name of roundcube for that? No?

Thanks a lot.

If you want this automatically to happen, you have to accomplish this on the mail server to which RoundCube connects.

On this server you can work something out with a .forward file (assuming it's *nix based) in your home directory

Code: [Select]
\maximax
maximax@hotmail.com

Above example is based on the fact that your login name for the imap-server is maximax and your hotmail address is maximax@hotmail.com.

You would need to set up a forwarder on your mail server.

If have some sort of the same question as is posted before.

I have RoundCube webmail for some side jobs I am currently preforming at.
But I dont want to log in to Roundcube to watch my email 10 times a day.

Can the email I get on RoundCube be forwarded in a simple matter ( i am definitely not a computer nerd ) for instance by adjusting the preference of something?

Hope to hear from you.

Wicked

RoundCube is a mail client (just like Thunderbird or Outlook). Without logging in, RoundCube can't perform any action on the mail server. Mail forwarding a typically a mail server action.

May be someone can write a plug-in to create the necessary files, but this plug-in must have access to the mail server to store those files there.
