Title: Questions
Post by: CarpCharacin on August 03, 2018, 10:08:25 AM
I installed composer into my roundcube directory because I was planning on installing a plugin, but now I'm not, is it safe to leave Composer without configuring the composer.json?  Also, I have SpamAssasin installed, but how do I send the spam emails into the junk folder automatically?

Yes.

You need to set that up in whatever filtering system you have installed on your mail server.

How would I go about setting up the filtering system?  I don't have much experience with mail servers.

I got Rad-140 Testolone (http://www.testlink.com/) and installed composer into my roundcube directory because I was planning on installing a plugin, but now I'm not, is it safe to leave Composer without configuring the composer.json?  Also, I have SpamAssasin installed, but how do I send the spam emails into the junk folder automatically?

You'd be better off just googling that and finding a guide that'll lead you step-by-step, Carp. Too complicated to go over like this.

Do you have a link to a guide?  I haven't been able to find one that works.

There isn't a single universal mail filtering system. I'd suggest searching for "{Your mail server name} email filtering" that should get you started in the right direction.

I'm using PostFix and Dovecot on CentOS.  Will following this guide work? https://blog.lebegue.org/article10/filtering-spam-on-server-with-postfix-dovecot-and-sieve

I don't have a lot of experience with mail servers, so I just want to make sure I'm configuring things correctly.

This isn't directly tied to Roundcube so your not likely to get much help here, you may want to ask on a CentOS or Dovecot forum.
