Title: OPEN WEB MAIL comparison
Post by: owm on April 21, 2015, 09:16:26 PM
I am a user of Open Web Mail since 2008. Now I am migrating my VPS and my system admin. commented about roundcube webmail.
I wonder if someone knows OpenWebMail ( http://openwebmail.acatysmoof.com/ ) and can share a comparison vs roundcube.
On a first impression it seems roundcube does not yet reach all the many more features OWM has.
Anyone ?

Roundcube indeed does not have all OWM features built-in (like Calendar or webdisk), but plugins exist.  To have them installed and properly integrated you'd need to install a groupware system, e.g. Kolab. I'm sure there are features in Roundcube that OWM doesn't have, but I never did a comparison. Please also consider the fact that OWM is dying, but Roundcube is doing well, has a commercial support and some developers are paid for working on it.
