Hi, apologies if this is on the wrong board. I'm looking to solve an issue I have with the roundcube autoresponder. Just to say straight away that I'm not a developer, instead I found myself with a roundcube webmail because the host of my website uses it.

My question is whether I am able to change the name that comes up for me when I set up my out of office. At the moment, my name just appears on gmail accounts as 'ben' (my name comes up as my full email address on outlook). I think it comes up as 'ben' as my email is 'ben@.....' Ideally, I want it to show my whole name, like it does with all my non auto-reply emails. I've spoken to the website host and they've said it is just how it is. But I'm thinking there must be a setting that can be changed as if my email was hello@ then everyone on gmail would just see 'hello' as the sender and this'll likely lead to lost clients.....

The settings in the identity tab has my full name...

Any help would be appreciated, and sorry if wrong forum....

The autoresponder is not part of Roundcube. Roundcube is just a webmail client for viewing and sending email. That is why the autoresponder doesn't read the identity information from Roundcube.

In most systems there is a way to set the name for auto responders but it may not be exposed in the UI that your host provides.

Thanks SKaero. That's helpful. I guess I'm hoping that it's not too difficult for the host to add the feature to the UI then!
