There is a remarkable mail server http://www.hmailserver.com/.
There is remarkable Roundcube - Free webmail for the masses (http://www.roundcube.net) shell.
Why to you not to unite and not to make the joint version?
To add registration of new users through roundecube = shell =) It would be very healthy. And that users should write the (curves) scripts;)

They are plugins that do that, check on the plugin repository Plugin_Repository ? Roundcube Webmail (http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Plugin_Repository) and MyRoundCube http://www.roundcubeforum.net/myroundcube/3791-myroundcube-features-download-installation.html
