Has anyone of the RC-Team been asked to allow this?

why would they need to allow this?  it's perfectly valid for anyone to charge for a theme, even if that theme is based on GPL software.

Im not a GPL expert at all, but the way I understand it, anyone can make a theme, and any CSS or artwork may be redistributed under a different license, even a commercial one.

But, if mvision has any PHP or Javascript in it, those pieces must be released under GPL as well. So they cant release any PHP or JS under their commercial license. If the mvision theme has any JS or PHP and those bits arent GPL, they may be violating the GPL license.  (think language packs, that are all PHP).

In my opinion, it's the same problem with wordpress and the theme Thesis: you can sale a creation but it must be under the GPL license.

I dont agree :) Only part of the creation should be under GPL. If you design images, logos, icons, whatever, they can be under whatever license you want.

But I do think any derivative PHP/JS should be under GPL, so anyone that buys a theme should theoretically be able to distribute those parts along. Kinda useless without icons etc, but ..

1. The usage of the name of RoundCube (f.e. inside of the domain name).
2. The design is taken from a commercial product.
3. The useage of not free fonts.
and so on and on...

Here we call it "Trittbrettfahrer".

RC is great.
Making a theme is hard work. I know that. I did that, too.

Final: For me it feels like a kick in the *** of the community.
Or is anyone of the RC team involved?
