Title: Can I import an MBOX file into Roundcube?
Post by: Bikerdave55 on May 16, 2014, 10:27:13 AM
Hi

I have looked but don't see any topics on this so forgive me if I have missed them.

I want to start using Roundcube independently of my Web Host so I think from what I understand I can install Roundcube independently on my (shared) server.

The problem seems to be that the Web Host (Omnis) does not provide any data download or backup so I have used Hoarde which does allow a download of messages but into an MBOX file. However I cannot see any references to uploading MBOX into Roundcube.

I did see one post that suggests you can use Thunderbird as a bridge to download then upload.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Dave

Roundcube is a web-based email client. It has no ability for local mail storage. It loads and displays messages stored on the actual mail server.

There is a message import function, but all that does is import locally saved messages to the remote mail server, not into Roundcube storage (of which there is none).
