ERROR: Wrong 'suhosin.session.encrypt' option value and it wasn't possible to set it to required value (0). Check your PHP configuration (including php_admin_flag).

Hello, I have this problem in my installation of roundcube. I downloaded from the site and have tried everything. I searched and saw a topic on this forum that could just setar suhosin.session.encrypt OFF in php.ini, but now you can see how I configured http://www.nazarenobv.com.br/info.php and continues giving error still.

Folder: http://www.nazarenobv.com.br/email

I apologize for the english, I'm using google translate.

Pasta: http://www.nazarenobv.com.br/email

Peço desculpas pelo inglês, estou utilizando o google translate.

If you put a phpinfo() in the email folder what does it say?

Hello.  I'm getting the same error.  Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd post here also.

I installed from softaculous through cpanel.  I'm using a webhost.  And after researching and learning that suhosin needs to be disabled, I emailed my webhost and requested that they disable suhosin.session.encrypt.

This is the response they gave: (I'm still having the same issue, and just wondering what I should say in response to them)

"Suhosin cannot be disabled server wide. However, I think we may be able to disable it on your site with custom php.ini entry.

"I've placed a php,ini in your public_html directory and made the following entry.

[suhosin]
suhosin.session.encrypt = Off

"Peace try your installation now and see if you get better results. "

Thanks.

edit:
I tried putting the php.ini file containing the above entry into my public_html/webmail folder (since I'm trying to install the roundcube on a subdomain, webmail.mydomain.com), and now I'm just getting a blank page...  don't know if this could possibly help but just adding it just in case it can.  Thanks.  =)

You'll need the php.ini in both the main RoundCube folder and the installer directory if you not making the change globally.

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by 'main installer directory'  ???  Cheers, thank you for the response.  -- Restad.

And just to verify, by 'main roundcube folder' you mean, in my situation, "/public_html/webmail" since I've made a subdomain - webmail.mydomain.com - and that's the main folder roundcube's installed in?  I used softaculous through cpanel to install roundcube, but I'm familiar with the traditional way, if that might be better in this situation?

I tried copying the php.ini file to the /public_html directory but that didn't solve the problem (I'm still getting a blank page now).  Thanks again!  - Restad

You shouldn't have to worry about the installer directory if you installed with a 3rd party installer, whats in your error log <RC root>/logs/errors?

Okay.  I just got a reply from my webhost.  They said they copied the entire php.ini contents into the webmail directory, rather than nothing but the suhosin = Off thing, and it's working now.  I appreciate the help.  =)  Thanks.

I think I'm going crazy, sometimes there is just a funny solution:
http://www.nazarenobv.com.br/email/php.ini
http://www.nazarenobv.com.br/info.php
