First email view times out then everything is OK

I log into roundcube and it shows all of the messages and folders. After logging in when I click on the first message the wheels spin for a couple minutes and nothing loads into the preview pain. After a couple minutes it stops trying to load and the next message I click on shows up just fine.

This mailbox has 122 folders.

I can duplicate the problem with both 1.2.5. and 1.3.3.

I can duplicate the problem connecting to imapproxy, dovecot, or directly into dbmail.

I can NOT duplicate the problem with any other imap mail client.

I am not seeing anything in the errors log.

Anyone know how I can get some more info to trouble shoot this?

Should the number of folders have anything to do with the mail load timing out?
