Title: Slow or no sending of "large" mails
Post by: nukulaar on August 02, 2012, 02:41:04 PM
Hi there,

I'm using roundcube 0.7.2 with cherokee webserver and i currently have a litte problem with sending mails.

If I send really little mails (one word plain text) the email is immediatly sent, but if I send a litte bit larger mails (some sentences or html mails) roundcube seems to be stuck at "Sending Message.."

The strange thing is if i click on any link on the roundcube page (Addressbook for example), while the sending is stuck, the message is suddenly delivered instantly.
I already enabled smtp debugging and noticed that the connection to the smtp server is only then opened if I click on a link.

For testing purpose i upgraded to 0.8rc. After the update the trick with opening some other links on the page doesnt work any more. The mail is just not sent.

I'm wondering if this could result of a misconfiguration of the webserver or might be a bug in roundcube.

Any help for finding the root cause of this problem would be very nice.

Interesting, do you have plugins enabled and is there anything in the RoundCube error log?

Im using the carddav plugin to sync contacts, as well as the autologon addon to integrate roundcube into owncloud. I'll disable all addons and try to reproduce the error.

Sadly, there is nothing relevant in the error log. Just some smtp errors from when i was testing some different authentication options.

Hey,

I discovered this problem only occurs when im using chrome...

With firefox and internet explorer it works fine.

Did it work correctly when you disabled all of the RoundCube plugins? Since only one browser is having the problem it maybe an extension you have installed in Chrome.
