Title: Inconvenient Server Input When Login Roundcube 8.0.4
Post by: canmaxgroup on January 03, 2013, 10:03:36 AM
Hi folks,

Happy New Year!

I just upgraded Roundcube webmail as usual, and I suddenly found that it required to input "Server" when log in. To me, it only needs 1 or 2 seconds to get what it means, but to all my dear clients and non technical colleagues, it's a disaster. I got a bench of phone calls immediately about this "Server" thing and I have to tell everyone to input the server name the same as they type in the address bar to get to the login interface. To those lovely people who use email clients there's nothing changed, but I'm afraid I'll be shouted at my face by my beautiful boss who only uses browser to check emails.

So dear Roundcube developers, could you please remove such "server" thing from new releases? It would really help people like me out, and we appreciate it so much!

if you dont want the server box then you have to set default_host in your config file. a quick search of the forum or the wiki would of told you this ;)

Thanks for the reply, John. But we r using a webhosting webmail with Hostmonster.ca, so I can not view and change any setting of Roundcube, sigh...

Hi folks, I just hide the server box by modifying the config file. The problem is solved. thanks John again and this thread can be closed.:)
