Title: windows-1250 encoding bug
Post by: tower on January 12, 2007, 07:11:47 PM
Hi,
We are using roundcube webmail (svn version) with polish translation. The most common encodings which are used in our country are iso-8859-2 and windows-1250. Polish language has some special letters and the problem is with them. While in iso-8859-2 all looks ok (message head and body) in windows-1250 it does not. You can check a screenshot with the same message in 2 mentioned encodings (and utf-8) here: http://tower.wdm.pl/roundcube/roundcube_bug.jpg (http://tower.wdm.pl/roundcube/roundcube_bug.jpg). Any ideas?

I've had a similar problem with this showing up in the server error logs. It went away after un-hashing the AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 in the top-level .htaccess file. If it helps.... :)

Just remove AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 from your Apache config.
