Title: Link Roundcube login to OS X Server Auth system… how?
Post by: glawrie on May 03, 2013, 09:33:41 AM
Using round cube 0.9 with the mail services provided by OS X 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion) and Server 2.2.1.

I don't know if this is easy or difficult... but I am hoping to find if it is possible to configure Roundcube (0.9) to use the OS X Server AUTH system?

All I want to do is arrange things so that if someone has already logged in to use the OS X wiki system, roundcube picks up this status and skips log in for webmail.

If it is possible to do this, would value pointers to details on how to do this.

Thanks in advance!

roundcube uses imap/smtp authentication and those services are linked to OS X Server authentication.
So yes, this does work.

OS X Server 10.8 roundcube installer:

Thanks for the info. But what I'm trying to achieve is to get roundcube to pick if a user has already logged into the OS X web services system, and if so not ask them to log into roundcube too.  The way OS X handles mail clients, their webmail log in will be identical to the log in for web services (e.g. wiki etc.), so one should allow the other.

Any ideas?
