Title: [Resolved] Can't send mail (SMTP error)
Post by: thedavix on February 22, 2007, 09:27:27 AM
Hello,

I install roundcube, everything work fine except sending mails, I am able to send mail with the php function but not with the smtp one.
this is what I have in the log
SMTP Error: SMTP error: Authentication failure: SMTP server does no support authentication in /home/ovh/www/roundcube/program/steps/mail/sendmail.inc on line 342

I read some of the post of the forum, but I don't have any problem to authenticate with SMTP because it work fine with horde.
I tried to configure the smtp_server with localhost or my server name (same configuration for horde) but doesn't arrange the problem.

Has anyone had a problem similar?

Thanks

David

Check your main.inc.php for smtp authentication make sure it matches for what your server is configured as.
