Title: migrate from openwebmail
Post by: boxyball on May 29, 2013, 10:46:40 AM
Hello,
We have a few thousand users on openwebmail with folders in /var/www/cgi-bin/openwebmail/etc/users, each having their own .openwebmail folder and associated database files on a Fedora server.
I would like to migrate to roundcube ... is there a procedure for this ?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know of a migration solution from openwebmail to RoundCube, I'd assume that what you mainly want is the address book and signature so you could possibly a plugin that would grab that data from the old install.

My main concern is all the user folders with stored emails.

I gathered from a google search from a year-old forum post of an administrator who said all that is necessary is to "go into roundcube settings and subscribe to all the folders" ... is this done globally or does each user have to do this?

The subscription list for each account and is controlled by the imap server, the email should be on the mail server (assuming openwebmail using imap)
