Title: Preventing Roundcube Login page indexed by Search Engines
Post by: hal on March 30, 2007, 06:56:45 AM
Hi all

Roundcube is a great, great application! Congratulations on the achievement, and thank you for the hard work that has gone into it.

There are a couple of suggestions that I have.

1) It seems that there are no methods being employed to prevent roundcube from being indexed or cached by search engines. I have added the following lines to the skins/templates/login.html file, but it would be good if this were included by default.

I have also added a robots.txt file to the root directory, as such:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Then, if a vulnerability is found in roundcube some time in the future, hackers won't be able to search for all the roundcube installations in google and exploit it.

2) An RSS feed on the website woudl be great to keep up with the latest roundcube developments and releases

Again, thank you for the best open source webmail app!

Hal
