Title: Jump to first unread message?
Post by: greymont on September 16, 2013, 11:07:29 AM
I'm a new user of roundcube via mykolab.com.

As I've accumulated messages in various folders I'm finding it harder and harder to scroll down to the latest unread messages. Is there a quick way to jump between the unread messages only? Is there a document on all the keystrokes available? Have not been able to find much so far.

I used to use Eudora and it had a key that moved to next unread message in current folder and also jumped between folders after all messages were read. You just kept pressing that key and eventually you read everything new. I'd really like to see something like that but for now just want to move around more efficiently.

You can set messages list sorting so newest messages are on top. You can also use search filter to show only unread.

Thanks for those ideas, alec. Unfortunately they do not solve my problem.

I really want to keep the messages in chronological, threaded order.

I can see the unread messages in bold, which is helpful. I just want to jump to the next unread message without the cumbersome method of scrolling and looking for them.

Use the message list filter, as shown in the attachment.

Well that is certainly a helpful suggestion and gets me part way to what I'm looking for.

I think I'll just have to craft a detailed feature request and/or contribute some code.

Thanks!
