Backup of mail isB important.
Two situations :
1 Backup for recovery from failure
2- Backup when you change your usual computer such as buy a new one
Setup one or several addresses to backup ALL mail and profile in ONE file.
Automatic periodic backups (rsync?)
As to not create a new post, I like this idea as well.
Being able to archive your folders/messages/address book independently to your local machine would be a great addition; or a sync with Outlook.
You never know your server might crash, backup unreadable... Don't laugh as it's happened to me :'(

Hi Janotin.
I think there is also another way to be safe from loss of emails from crash of server or your Mac computer. You can recover your all emails inspite of crash with the help of Mac mail recovery (http://www.macmailrecovery.net) tool. The tool uses advanced algorithm that restores the lost emails from crashed or corrupted mail folders.
