Title: Fetchmail from ISP, gmail, RoundCube for LAN
Post by: balibago on January 26, 2014, 03:17:36 PM
Hi.

I wish to;
- Use 'fetchmail' to get mail from remote sources, i.e. ISP, gmail, yahoo
- Store all mail on Local LAN
- Use 'dovecot' to offer imap, local LAN clients can receive/send mail with Thunderbird
- Use 'procmail' (or postfix) to send mail to the outside
- Use mysql

Could someone please advise how to integrate RoundCube into the above ?
This is my first time, I'm not sure if my programs are chosen correctly and what
I need to give up to include RoundCube, if any.

Thank you.

RoundCube is a imap client so it will work the same as Thunderbird in your setup.

Thanks.

Do you mean I do not have to add/remove any features from the proposed
LAN mail setup to use RoundCube?

Could RoundCube be used in lieu of any of the programs listed ?

You would need to have a web server with PHP and a database in order to run RoundCube. RoundCube could be used in place of Thunderbird.
