Title: Does RC offer a "group calendarr" feature?
Post by: BAD311 on April 17, 2014, 11:40:04 PM
I want to be able to setup RC (or Horde) on my dedicated server and I'd like to know if RC offers a group calendar feature where I can create an appointment and assign it to my wife and others and they can see it and cancel it, modify it, etc... I don't want it like Outlook where you have to accept it and if you modify your version you have to send it to everyone. I want it to be where if you make a change/edit, it updates automatically. It's not important that people are notified.

Not part of the core install. It's possible that one of the calendar plugins might suit your needs, but I have no experience with them.

I came across this site http://kolab.org/blog/daniel-morlock/2014/05/02/caldavical-support-kolab while looking for a CalDAV capable calendar... If sharing a CalDAV calendar works, it might be what you want.

There are a few bugs that needs to be sorted though...

Note.. I'm using a Synology NAS (DSM 4.2) the size of a milk carton and it provides me with everything out of the box; Samba (SMB 2 & Large MTU), FTP, Apache, LDAP, WebDAV/CalDAV, Dovecot, Postfix and Spamassasin.

Soon retirering my 4-core Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition - aka "The Hoover" ;-)
