Title: using redirects in an email signature
Post by: maxine on August 21, 2014, 03:30:06 PM
In our company email signatures, we currently use a short version--a redirect--of our organization's url: bcadopt.com vs. bcadoption.com. I have been told that using a redirect in the email signature will cause some email providers to reject or flag the email as spam. Can anyone confirm this?

While it is true that spam often has redirect links I don't think many spam services check for them because a lot of legitimate email a also will have redirect links (sharing a news story, sharing a map, etc.) Its much more important to have your reverse DNS, and SPF records setup correctly.
