Title: Help with forwarding to and replying from another email address
Post by: Stevenh on September 01, 2014, 08:59:36 AM
Hello everyone

I solved the issue with forwarding emails from my roundcube email to my secondary email.

But, how do reply from my secondary email client so that the recepient will receive the mail 'from: [email protected]' instead of 'From: [email protected]' ?

An example:
A person sends an email to my roundcube account. The mail is forwarded to my secondary account. I want to reply to this mail from my secondary email account and not from roundcube. And I want the recepient to think that I'm replying from my roundcube account when he sees the 'from' title.

How to do this?

Thanks in advance for your time,
Steven

in roundcube you have a section called identities in settings where you can setup from addresses. your secondary mail client probably has something similiar. just becareful of anti-spam stuff though, you may to tell your secondary client to use your primary SMTP server when sending mails from that address to show they are legitimate.
