Title: outside mail to group, forwarded
Post by: rogerw05465 on February 13, 2015, 11:10:29 AM
My apologies if this has been covered, but I found nothing in the search.

Roundcube is a front end to our club webmail platform. I want to send a single email (from outside) to a Roundcube Group and have it forwarded from Roundcube to members of that Group. Is this possible?

We do have a  forwarder on the platform, but that is a 1:1, or 1: few type of thing. I would like to be able to change the Group members but still have a single email address for the Group and have all mail to that Group be sent to members of the Group.

Thanks for any help you can give

Roger

That is not a function of Roundcube - because Roundcube is an IMAP client the forwarding would only work when Roundcube is open. I am not certain but you might be able to use something like Sieve to setup rules that forward s message to lots of people and there are plugins for Roundcube that allow people to configure their rules from the UI.

It sounds to me like you would be best creating a mailing list rather than using forwarding rules,
