Title: Problem with special chars
Post by: carloand on December 11, 2015, 06:42:45 AM
Hello,
if I try to send an email with a long subject with special characters, I get error "An error occurred! Failed to send message."
This happens for instance if I try to send a message with subject "Un árbol de la vida es un motivo común en diversas teologías".

In the logs/errors log I find:
[11-Dec-2015 12:29:14 CET] PHP Warning:  mail() [<a href='function.mail'>function.mail</a>]: Bad parameters to mail() function, mail not sent. in /.../program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1748

Some details about my machine:

uname -a
Linux 3.2.0-93-generic #133-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 23 13:32:16 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

php -v
PHP 5.3.29 (cli) (built: Sep  1 2014 02:02:35)
Copyright (c) 1997-2014 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies

If you need more details, please let me know.

Is that a known issue, shall I open a ticket in http://trac.roundcube.net/ or is there any configuration I should set in my computer or what else?
Thank you!

Carlo

What version of Roundcube are you using? Have you tried using SMTP? Why not update PHP?
