Title: multiple accounts
Post by: bteigrob on July 11, 2016, 12:20:46 PM
I just wanted to verify what I believe I read here on this forum. Roundcube does not offer multiple accounts on the same domain? e.g. [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]? If it does offer that, can someone help me set it up? Thanks

You can have multiple accounts you just can't be logged into multiples at the same time.

SKaero, thanks for the reply. So that really defeats the purpose then because I would like to have the manager have is own address that he can log into; the sales personnel their own that they can log into; etc. All these address won't be monitored by the same person.

You can actually do that, what I mean when I said "you just can't be logged into multiples at the same time." is you can be logged into multiple accounts on the same computer/browser at the same time. Multiple people on different computers can use one instance of Roundcube to be log into different email accounts.

OK I hear you now. I assume I will need to gain access to cpanel from the admin to create these separate accounts?

If your on a cPanel server then yes you would need to get access to cPanel in order to create the accounts.
