When I reply to a message that contains a signature with icons (in my case sended from Mozilla Thunderbird), I have on the "Attach a file" side a list of the icons from the mentioned signature. (see ttachment below)

That looks normal. It just means the images in that sig are embedded in the email rather than linked.

Thank you, JohnDoh! But how can I avoid that? If the images in signature are linked it won't display them as on the file attached in the first post?
This is typical of other mail clients as well. Including the previous signatures rarely serves a purpose. Delete them or leave them hang on as attachments.
For forwards you could forward as attachment, rather than inline.
