Hi there,
first of all: I realy like roundcubemail though i never used it before due to some problems i did not want to cope with. Now i tried the newest version and just found some bugs.
1. There seams to be a problem of rendering http addresses. Even the address to activate this forum account was corrupt. Instead of the full address it croped it at the semicolon which separates the GET parameter list.
2. The program has a problem with large imap boxes. I have a box with size about 250 MB out of 1GB it takes too long to display just x of them as i configured in my personal settings. does the program fetch all the headers and then split it up into the pages? Due to this, the first login took about 2-3 minutes. I would not use a program which is that slow.
3. This problem is part of the second. What does roundcube do at the mailserver? my serverload went up about 500% when loading the list.
I just forgot. Reading a mail, means loading a mail to read it is damn slow to.
All in all I cannot reproduce your problems.
As to (1) I checked again and the activation mail for this forum ist fine at my roundcube system.
For (2) and (3): I do not have a unusually high load on the server. Despite the fact that my IMAP box stores about 600 megs at the moment in several thousand mails there's no problem here.
All I know is that the first time you login with a new user it could take some time (like 10-20 secs) to load if there are mails inside cause roundcube transfers them into the database.
However, some of my customers also have large inboxes (1-2 gigs) and there are no complaints about loading time.
That seems to be a problem with your mailserver or something. Better check the backend again?!
