Background: According to the domain-name registrar Namecheap, version 1.3.7-3.cp1176 of Roundcube is installed "on all cPanel accounts that run on the 78th cPanel version. The Operating system is CloudLinux. Apache version is 2.4.41."
Issue: When I, as a user, search on a string amongst
all folders, the result is of course a list of email messages. Suppose there are 133 messages matching the search criterion; if I click one, the message opens, and in the upper right of the screen I might see "Message 6 of 133". All good so far. But if I click the left arrow or right arrow in the upper right, I am
not generally taken to Message 5 or 7 in the search results. Generally, either the error message "Could not load message from server" appears, or a totally unrelated email is loaded.
What I've tried: I wrote to Namecheap (#WBH-769-72381) about this error message, and here is a key excerpt from the reply from a Valeria Nesterova:
QuoteTo our regret, there is nothing that can be done from our side as it is the bug on Roundcube side.
You can try reporting the issue directly to Roundcube.... Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with any relevant log related to Rouncube as it wasn't triggered.
Next steps: Any advice regarding the above behaviour is appreciated. Naturally, if we can approach this issue without examining a log, even better. You should be able to reproduce the behaviour in a few seconds.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
sounds like this issue https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/issues/6793 the fix has been included in releases 1.3.10 and 1.4-rc2. The exact change for the 1.3 branch is here https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/commit/70622c37e6b77017e4e922a73fa680a4d7610543
