Title: 1.4.13 Longevity
Post by: ElasticUser on November 23, 2023, 05:08:42 PM
The melanie2_larry_mobile skin is very user friendly in a lot of ways!  Too bad that melanie2_larry_mobile stopped being updated!

I've been using version 1.4.13 so that I can keep using my own custom animated emoticons.  I saw another 1.4.13 post on this forum site.  However, on here, and on GitHub, I only see 1.4.11 as being the last 1.4 version.

My customized 1.4.13 is running well with No outdated php errors!  I want to keep this version as long as possible!  About how much longer can I get out of this version?  Once I upgrade, TinyMCE won't allow me to easily add my custom animated Emojis anymore.   8)

Version 1.4.15 was the last release in the 1.4 series. See the note at the end of this announcement https://roundcube.net/news/2023/10/16/security-updates-1.5.5-and-1.4.15

Are any of the 1.4.15 changes in the Elastic directory, or the en_US directory?   8)

Just ask GitHub for a diff between the tags, its public information e.g. https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/compare/1.4.13...1.4.15

I might simply keep 1.4.13.  1.4.13 is running fine for me.  :--)

Please refresh my memory as to where I can Hide the Archive menu link.  I looked at All of the files in templates & templates/includes.  However, somehow I'm missing where that's at.   8)

You mean to disable archive plugin?

I Don't have Archive enabled in config.inc.php.  And I looked in All of the Elastic HTML files to see where to Remove the Archive link under the Trash link.  Somehow, I appear to me Overlooking where I can Remove that.

Alec:  On GitHub, it shows that skins/elastic/ui.js was updated in 1.4.11.  So, If I Upgrade from 1.4.13 to 1.4.15, All of the default Roundcube files, etc. are he Same as in what I have in 1.4.13, Correct?   8)

At https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/releases/tag/1.4.15, I'm Only finding a New Issue button.  This Isn't a New Issue.  I've simply looked through most of the Elastic .html files, and still Don't have a clue where to Remove the Archives button.   8)

As Alec said this is probably coming from a plugin. I understand you do not have the Archive plugin enabled but may be from another plugin? You will not find anything in the Elastic skin files since the label "Archive" or "Archives" is not included in the Roundcube core.

I currently have Emoticons, and New Mail Notifier enabled.  NO other plugins.   I might look that over again tonight.  😎

I looked through a lot of the R C directories, and I still Don't have a clue where to find and remove Archives.  If one of the R C software  editors has a clue where they put that, I'll be thankful!  8)
