Title: Is there a way to enable 2FA?
Post by: sblantipodi on July 09, 2024, 03:43:27 AM
As title.
A software like this without 2FA is not really "that useful",
is there a way to enable 2FA?

Thanks
Davide

As a mail client this is not really Roundcube's responsibility. There a plugins available e.g. twofactor_gauthenticator (https://github.com/alexandregz/twofactor_gauthenticator) and others. The authentication is performed by you IMAP server so any login restrictions should be implemented there otherwise to by pass it the only thing an attacker needs to do is use a different client.

Looking at doing the same here. I have came across the Plugin you linked and a few others but some are no longer maintained. Isn't there a official Plugin that Roundcube has? can this maybe be a future request?
