I don't know what version you upgraded from but are you using the new SMTP config options that changed with Roundcube 1.6.0? https://roundcube.net/news/2022/07/28/roundcube-1.6.0-released

Hi, I'm using the lastest version Release 1.6.7, I'll see better about new config parameter and reply here if problems, but seems to me that I have try those new configuration config file...

I have do more tests, and I have set the some information in config.inc.php and defaults.inc.php, I set a smtp server that was working before, If I set a wrong pwd the roundcube mail say the error: "errore SMTP 535: Autenticazione non riuscita", if I change the pwd and the credential are ok in both configuration files the program weh I send email give th error: "errore SMTP 553: impostazine del mittente "[email protected]" non riuscita (MAIL FROM <[email protected]> does not match autenticated user name).
The on the server the autentication i only "mionome" without "@miodominio.com" and I have set another SMTP that is from the connection provider. I don't understand I have do several tests...

Maybe I'll reinstall the LTD 1.5.7 and see if work as before.

The LTS version have the some problem, I don't understand before the smtp worked without problems, now I try different configurations and don't send email. Any news?

I double checked the configuration by configuring the connection provider's smtp. When I send the email it gives me this response, Error 553: Failed to set sender "bounce@localhost" (<bounce@localhost> invalid mail address, must be a fully qualified domain).

Then there's some option for set the domain server (sam.cab) or for ignore it?
