Title: Search

I'd like to see a search feature just like horde webmail or thunderbird has. It sucks to search each folder manally.

Hmm... I'm not so sure about this.  Thunderbird (and Outlook to my knowledge) doesn't seach sub-folders, just the folder that is currently being viewed.  A search of all folders could potentially take a long time and even time-out in a request.

While I can understand where you're coming from, I'm not 100% sure it's a good feature.  That's just my opinion.  I'm sure this could be implemented, then again, it could go against the RFC to search all folders.

Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 on WinXP DOES do search in sub-folders

Outlook2003 does also search in sub-folders!

Yeah, sure it can take some time, but I reckon that if I'm searching in my archive with 10000 mails.

I have a folder named "Archive" with around 700 mails from the last months. This folder has 10 subfolders, named 2000, 2001, [...] 2007, 2008.

I have to wait 3-10 sek for the search request results from thunderbird or horde webmail. But I have to click every single folder and type in the search term again.

Please take a look at the attached horde webmail search page.

the tiny search box from roundcube is awesome, but it sucks if you want to search in more than one folder.

maybe you could store (until the session ends) the last string searched for?

will there be a plugin api for creating such a search feature in the future?
it this project under active development, could I join the team?
