Title: Roundcube Mail Deletion Error
Post by: melchiz on November 19, 2008, 01:17:13 PM
Greetings!

So I'm running Roundcube as a Joomla component, and things so far are great. However, I am experiencing an issue with deleting messages. I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me solve it.

When I attempt to delete a message in any folder, I get a red Roundcube error box at the top that flashes briefly, only to return me to my mailbox with the message still there. Is this a known issue? How can I get messages to delete properly? As of now, I have an rcmail_config entry for a trash folder, but that doesn't seem to be working either. Any tips?

Thank you!

Some servers have the trash folder as subfolder of INBOX ... (INBOX.trash). Check the folder list of your imap server and set configurations accordingly. Maybe this helps!

Yes, in fact, all folders on our IMAP server are subfolders of the inbox. Does that mean I have to set the sent items and trash to INBOX.trash and INBOX.sent?

If that's the case, thank you for the great idea! ;D

I am also facing the same problem. Please let me know in which file I need to change the folders to inbox.trash or inbox.sent....

I have found that if the permissions on the folder are incorrect, RoundCube will give a vague error. Check your permissions. Permissions on IMPAP folders are very picky.
